How to Speed Up/Slow Down Video Clip:

We are also able to customize the precise duration. Now you can see the video is sped up. If we reduce the speed, and click play. The video is slow. Here are also some preset settings. We can also choose the settings here, making it faster, slower, or recover to normal speed.

To change the speed more freely, we need to use speed ramping. Click on it. The on the top right panel, we can see the settings. Here are some default settings already. Let’s use montage for example. The curve indicates the video speed. The horizontal line means normal speed. Above the line is faster, below the line is slower.

The higher the point, the faster the speed, and vice versa. Now we play the video. When the time line reach the upper point, the video speed becomes very fast. All the points are editable. Let’s say we want to slow it down, just drag the point down like this. Now we preview it again, the speed is slower now. And if we don’t need so many points.

We can also add or reduce the number of points by clicking the plus and minus buttons. Here is a big drop down, so you can see the video becomes very slow, and then back to normal speed. We can try different presets to pick one you like. Most of the time we will customize it ourselves to get the best result. We can drag these points freely.

Here, we want it to slow down when the bike is in the air to show more details of the movement. So we adjust it this way. The speed change is not very obvious. We can reduce the speed more Then play again. Well, that’s better. We can even add one more point to extend the slowing down. That’s too much. So we will raise it a little bit.

Alright, this looks fine. You can keep playing around with it until you are satisfied with it. Now we can use the same method to adjust other video clips.
