YouTube PiP Mode is Available for US Non-Premium


Hi guys! For all video creators and video viewers, YouTube announced the Picture in Picture feature be rolling out on iOS devices. On TeamYouTube’s twitter post, YouTube has told us the new feature. We can use the Picture in Picture on iPhone or iPad just like on Android. 

However, this feature does not work for every user for now. Non-Premium members in the US could access the PIP for non-music content for free. While people outside the US can’t get access to the PIP feature unless they are premium members. So non-premium users might see this notification pops up asking you to subscribe and become a premium member. 


For premium members globally, people using iPhone and iPad can access to PIP for all content, including music and non-music. And turning on the feature is easy as well. Firstly open the system settings. General. Make sure you turn on start Picture in Picture automatically. 

Then open the YouTube application. Tap your account icon. Go to your account settings. General. Then you can turn on the Picture in Picture.Now you can watch YouTube videos in a small mini player while simultaneously browsing other applications.
